Albania is undoubtedly the most unknown jewel of the Adriatic. Today's visitors are pioneers because tourism is still relatively confidential. NORTH ALBANIA

Northern Albania is one of the three regions of Albania. This ethnographic territory is sometimes called Gegëria or Gegnia which also includes parts of the Albanian-inhabited territories of Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.

The term usually refers to the northern half of the country inhabited by the Gegs, who mainly live in the mountains north of the Shkumbin River.

MIDDLE ALBANIA...Soon

Central Albania is one of the three regions of Albania. It consists of two counties: Tirana County and Elbasan County.

Several other provinces in Central Albania are often included in spoken usage, notably Durrës and Shijak, and, less consistently, Dibër, Krujë, Pogradeci, Berat and Myzeqe.
